SASSA Payment Dates: November 2026

November 2026 starts on a Sunday, which means the Older Persons and War Veterans grants are paid early — on Friday 30 October 2026. The Disability and Care Dependency grants follow on Monday 2 November, and Child Support and Foster Child grants on Tuesday 3 November. November also marks the start of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence campaign (25 November to 10 December) — be extra vigilant about safety at pay points.

November 2026 Payment Schedule — All Grants

Because 1 November 2026 is a Sunday, the Older Persons Grant payment is moved forward to the last working day of October — Friday, 30 October 2026. The remaining grants then follow from Monday 2 November.

Early Payment: Older Persons Grant on 30 October

It may feel confusing that the November Older Persons Grant is paid in October. This is standard SASSA practice when the 1st of a month falls on a weekend — SASSA moves the payment to the last working day before.

Beneficiaries who receive the Older Persons Grant should check their accounts on Friday 30 October 2026. If your grant has not arrived by end of business on 30 October, contact SASSA on 0800 60 10 11.

SRD R370 Grant — November 2026

SRD grant payments for November 2026 are expected to begin from approximately 16 November 2026. Payments are released in batches over several days. You will receive an SMS notification when your specific payment is ready.

Check your status regularly at srd.sassa.gov.za. If your status shows 'pending' or 'bank details needed', resolve these issues early to avoid missing November's payment.

16 Days of Activism and Grant Safety

The 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence runs from 25 November to 10 December each year. This period draws attention to violence against women and children — and unfortunately, criminals sometimes target vulnerable grant beneficiaries during busy periods.

SASSA and government social workers increase outreach during this period. If you or someone you know is in an abusive situation where your grant money is being taken by a partner or family member, contact the GBV Command Centre on 0800 428 428 (toll-free, 24/7).
